Brick Lane
Quite a few of the market stalls that were up the road at Spitalfields seem to have moved down to Brick Lane. As I took this photo of a T shirt the stall holder ran up to me and said "Delete that file!!". Faced with such a prat my only option was to tell him no, that I was on holiday, and these were my holiday snaps. "It's a licensed work of art!!" he spluttered.
"Nobb Ed" was a my mate Dan's view. If anyone wants to copy the design and market it world wide then feel free.
Brick Lane, a 5 minute walk from Spitalfields, is full of curry houses. The area was always home to immigrants, all the way back to French protestants fleeing murderous catholics and Jews from Russia. I know this because every time I go I read the same page in the same guide book. It all seems to have gentrified a bit, with new flats springing up. I should have been taking pictures of Indian shops selling delicious sweets, but went for the cup cakes instead.

Spitalfields Market
The last time I went to Spitalfields it was a thriving market, five minutes walk from Liverpool Street station in London. It now appears to have been almost killed off, with the big city office buildings smothering everything. A handful of stalls remain, and amazingly, the Diminutive One didn't buy a handbag.
